The Homecoming spirit week has to be one of the most interesting weeks so far here at TPHS. On Monday, students clashed on 2 different costume themes: bikers vs. surfers. Students wore outfits ranging from Hawaian shirts to leather outfits. On Tuesday, the students had another clash between country vs. country club attire. Just like Monday, students got to choose between wearing outfits related to the Wild West or wearing an outfit like you were on the school’s golf team. On Wednesday, we all got the laugh of seeing what kind of objects students would bring instead of a backpack. One student brought a toy shopping cart, another brought a microwave, another even brought an entire wheelbarrow! Thursday was a throwback day to a previous decade which involved students dressing up like they would before the 2000’s. It was interesting to see what ideas people had based on the history of the culture at the time. To end it all, on Friday, all the students wore Titan colors based on their class level and attended an assembly that would kick off the Homecoming game that was a few hours later. Homecoming is one of the most important weeks of the school year because the activities offered help students build better connections with other students and faculty. The activities the faculty orchestrated were so creative, that people cannot wait to see what other new and unique ways students can show school spirit in the future!
