Titan Girl’s Golf

While it looked different this year, the Tinley Park High School girl’s golf team still had a very successful season. Led by Coach Moore, they ended with a 7-0-1 record.

This season they could only compete against teams in district 228. The Titans remained undefeated against the Oak Forest girl’s team, the Bremen boy’s team, and the Tinley Park boy’s team.Their first match was against Oak Forest at our home course, White Mountain. They ended with a score of 169-213, beating Oak Forest. From then on it was win after win.

This season highlighted the seniors’ talent and dedication to the team. The seven seniors, Madi Dunn, Alexa Simonsis, Brittney Osterman, Ashley Tipping, Kayla Stone, Ella Oakley, and Emily Praski all showed leadership throughout the season and contributed outstanding scores.

Six girls also competed at the IHSA 2A Regionals. Seniors Ella Oakley, Emily Praski, Kayla Stone, Ashley Tipping, and Brittney Osterman all had great scores to end their last Titan Golf season with. Ella finished 10th with a 103 and Brittney finished 11th with a 104. Freshman Kit Gormley stood out shooting a score of 99 for her first regionals, which put her in 8th place. Due to the pandemic limiting the number of sectional spots available, Kit and Ella could not advance to sectionals with their top 10 placements. They would have been the first girls to advance in over fifteen years at Tinley Park.

Overall it was a great season for this team, and definitely one for the books!
